Rewatching the newer Apes movies makes me scared shitless whenever I see a gorilla on screen. They're big, loud, strong as hell, and smart as a person. Especially the scene in Dawn when the guy goes back to the settlement to try to negotiate and you just see that gorilla come out of nowhere and just scream at the guy.

And then I laugh whenever I see one riding a horse and think "that poor horse."

Damn I thought you were gonna say it gets into our bodies and eats us as we're becoming part plastic nowadays.

That's a horror movie premise right there.

It's there, you can see the outline. She's just been smothered in sauce.

It's just an arcadey cozy city builder like Townscaper, but with a cyberpunk coat of paint on it.

Like a high school yearbook from the 70s

Between this and the cheese, Britain can't catch a break.

Damn Fuddrucker's isn't even really a national chain anymore. Most of them are in Texas, and there's one in the entire state of California.

I miss it tbh. They were pretty good.

I'm in the discord. The dev pushes out updates regularly, and I was pleasantly surprised by the full game. When I played the demo, there was a lot more randomness involved in everything; now you can select which buildings you want to place, what decorations to put and where, and you can tweak their sizes and such.

You can also use your own art and small gifs for the ads you can place.

ETA: the photo mode is great, and there's even a panorama/moving camera mode so you can make little scenes panning across your city. It's definitely a good little cozy game that I'd recommend to anyone who likes cyberpunk and city builders, just don't expect any actual gameplay or story aside from placing buildings and such.

I was worried that Spider-Man (the remaster not the second game) would pull some shit when I first launched it and saw a big thing on the corner of the screen that said "link your PSN and unlock a costume" but I completely ignored it and you get the costume by playing the game anyway. It's not like some exclusive thing.

I didn't even know the Remaster changed his face for whatever reason until after I finished the game.

I got a mod that changes it back and it looks a lot nicer imo. I know they wanted to make Peter look a bit more like Yuri, the VA, but I still don't know why. Maybe it was a contract thing? Idk.

I guess I'm glad I got it before they took it down? I played through it and enjoyed it for what it was, but I'm not entirely sure I'll even play through it again anytime soon.

That as far as I can tell looks exactly the same as the "original"

I was just wondering everyone's favorite level(s) were/are. You can explain why you like it, or you can just name drop the level you like most.

Mine are probably:

  1. Assault on The Control Room, I love the big epic set pieces of the level, and it has probably the best/most "examples" of what Halo is as a game than any other in CE. You have big weapons, vehicles, large open battles, and awesome music.

  2. Delta Halo from Halo 2. I love the lush jungle setting and going through the underwater elevator is always fun. Plus I love just beating the hell out of Truth.

  3. Halo, from Halo 3. Like Assault on The Control Room, this level has it all

So I've been playing through all the Arkham games lately, and I had an interesting thought about the whole Arkhamverse as a storyline.

I think the entire game series is based (loosely) on The Killing Joke story, with other major events, references, and storylines lifted from other Batman comics. I just think TKJ was used as a basis for the games' world.

We see Joker's beginning with his flashback at the end of Arkham Origins, which is almost identical to his TKJ origin, as well as him crippling Barbara in that flashback during Arkham Knight (right down to the clothes he's wearing). The overall dark tone of the games lend to this theory, as well as Joker being shown just how sadistic he can be.

What do you think?

If it's at all possible. I just find it kind of annoying to have to scroll through super long posts just to get to the comments. Review threads for newly released games in some of the gaming communities are what prompted this idea lol.

Edit: what the hell is going on with that account that keeps spamming nonsense?

So I like to use Xbox controllers (doesn't matter if it's first- or third-party) because I like the layout, it's just comfortable to me. However I've noticed that on all my controllers in the past few years, the left thumb stick will start to "give out" over the course of a couple months. For instance I'll be pushing it forward all the way, but it won't register for some reason and my character will only move a little bit. Sometimes wiggling it a bit will fix it, sometimes it doesn't. And it's not like I'm squeezing the hell out of the controller or mashing the stick constantly; in fact it's made me try to be more delicate with my controllers, even though I'm just playing the games normally.

Is it just how controllers are, or am I just getting the shit end of the stick?

Like, I travel around for work and I've met plenty of people from all backgrounds.

Why is there a demographic of people who don't seemingly bathe regularly, or at the very least wear something to cover up their BO? I could understand if it's an allergy, or even religious reasons (though the people I've met that smell bad are usually you're average American young adult man) but recently (like in the past week, recently) I've met a concerning number of people who don't seem to wear any kind of deodorant or possibly don't even bathe regularly; it's starting to become an issue for me, as I don't even want to interact with them when I can smell them walking up from 3+ feet away yet I need to for work.

Does anyone have any possible insight?
