Got this lil bike from my father in law. He got it used when he was a young man and carved up trails around his families property with a bunch of other boys. He's had it sitting for years and has been stored since he had kids.
Well they were selling their property and didn't want to move it with em, since he wasn't going to be riding it any time soon. So I sort of inherited it, belated dowry my wife says lol.
Had to pull and completely clean up the carb from 20 year old varnish, do a vinegar soak on the tank to clean up a bunch of rust and it kicks over pretty quick once I dialed it in. Need a new battery as the one I had been given from the FIL was from 06 new without any acid in it. Barely holds a charge now.
Got it running today got to go through all 5 gears going up and down the road.
Next on the list is get the wheels redone. Bearings, brakes, all the rubber bits, tighten and adjust the spokes. Real wheel is loose and wobbly side to side.

Is there any reason why she doesn't have a job? That is a big social experience. A job could help give purpose, and give opportunity to develop skills.
The suggestion of joining a sports league is a good one my wife and I play volleyball with some of her work friends and their spouses. Gets us together weekly to chat catch up, have a few drinks. It's been wonderful for getting us out of the house.
Hopefully you can find something to help your wife become more independent.
