I have a similar set of items in my setting, but I really enjoy the juxtaposition of mundane items doing really unique and powerful things. One of them is an old rotten tooth that can slowly destroys organic material. One is a shaving razor that allows you to cut portals over short distances, perfect for rogues taking coin purses. Some of the other items include a comb, a chess piece, a broach, and a coin. I think the best way to balance powerful items is in the times they can use them per day. If it's a crazy strong ability, maybe it takes a week to charge up for one use. If you feel it isn't very useful, let them use it 3/day and see if they surprise you with some creative thinking. Tweaking those time-frames can make even something initially unimpressive feel like a true relic.

I agree on both points. Maybe I'm just a big mark for the last gen of IWGP designs.

Arn and Finlay running a new NWA territory would be pretty cool. I don't know if it'd be successful, but the fact that it is a possibility is kinda wild.

Safety Dance by Men Without Hats feels a bit like low-hanging fruit, but I think it fits quite well. Whether it is dancing or really any sort of expression, you ought to do it if you desire to regardless of how others may feel. And if your friends constantly constrain themselves based on the judgements (or fear of judgement) of others, that isn't going make them new friends either. I wish I danced more when I was a kid. But I dance now.

As a kid, I loved Foley because of Mr. Socko. As a teen, I loved Foley because of the bumps. As an adult, I love Foley because he has continuously been one of the kindest, most generous people I've seen. Foley is god. Foley is good.
