As I said in the post title, I bought this as a self reward. It was between this and a Waterman Carene L’Essence de Bleu, but I ultimately settled on this. Haven’t even inked it yet - wish me luck!!

I had a good group of friends use it and that made it really fun. I remember the product itself being great initially. It just never gained any users.

Twitter’s Circles function much the same as Google+’s did. It was a really great feature. Seems like it’s on Twitter’s chopping block now.

I had a hard time loving the Lemmy logo at first. It felt really cheap compared to Snoo. But I fired up Lemmy today and got the same warm fuzzies seeing the Lemmy logo as I used to with Snoo. Which is all to say, it seems that I’m starting to really settle in here.

This is exactly it

Hachyderm is my instance. It’s heavily influenced by techy people, but there’s a bit of everything there. Strong culture of safety for social justice - some of the most followed LGBTQ and Black accounts post from there. I’d highly recommend.

Others I’ve enjoyed browsing are indieweb.social and toot.community

Going to show my privilege here and say Superhuman. It’s expensive as hell, but if you’re like me and email is a major part of your job, it may be worth it. I can get the gmail web client to do about 90% of what Superhuman does, though. So for an economical version, perhaps look up a guide on how to setup and use the Gmail web interface with nothing but a keyboard. In my experience, taking the time to learn how to navigate your inbox in this way pays dividends down the road. Good luck!

There is nothing Marxist that is or will ever come of the current Russian regime whether by design or byproduct. I still can’t believe this vein of thinking exists in modern communist thought. No safe space for any propaganda that supports the fascist Putin or his genocidal actions in Ukraine. Fuck everything about this.

Just did, thanks for the recommendation!

What I said in the title. This is the first Lemmy app that gives me Apollo vibes when I use it. The new themes are just chef’s kiss. Phenomenal work! It’s not Apollo yet, but this is the app that gets me thinking that Lemmy could be a long term thing for me. Well done!!

Yes! I feel the same when I leave home without one of my pens. The Everyman was a great pen - I never got one, but I remember wanting one when I can across it on Huckberry.

Yep, totally understand this. I’m glad there are other devs ready to pick up the baton.

It’s a luxury purchase, but Lamy makes several fountain pens that will last you the rest of your life. The Safari is a great entry pen, made of the same plastic as Legos. The 2000 is a gold nibbed pen whose design remains unchanged since 1966.

This is really strong stuff, congratulations and thank you!

If he’s referring to Lemmy.world he’s wrong. Lemmy.world has a different admin who’s not connected at all to Lemmy.ml admins afaik
