Can I ask which instance seemed like it's been abandoned?

Just so I'm clear, after you checked for updates and 'applying updates' was completed, what version do you now have?

I'm on android still on ver 2308.20.17.42. When I click 'check for updates' in Artemis app, all I see is 'up to date'. So how do I install the new update?

On android: Artemis, Connect and Infinity for Lemmy; Moshidon for Mastodon

I feel like I'm watching dialog between 2 teenagers, not 2 grown-ups. /s

I'm coming across spam bots on communities of several instances. So I'm thinking this is not an issue unique to Lemm.ee. Fortunately you can get around that by using the blocking features in the PWA, in the browser and in some of the native apps.

That's a big boy!

This seems like a sound move. It will be interesting to watch as other apps who previously depended on Twitter's API do the same, for the benefit of their users.
