have you tried turning off z hop? I've found z hop leads to stuff like this

on my laptop I have tpm to decrypt my drive and I've also enabled secure boot and set a bios password, so if someone steals my laptop it's basically bricked,

secure boots there to prevent any potential tampering if someone were to take the drive out then put it back in

I feel this setup is secure enough for me, if you've got some nation state after you, or some guy with a wrench theres probably nothing you can do

you would use some form of UUID or GUID and then have email as a secondary to look the ID up

you mean changing the resolution of the games when you switch from playing in handheld mode to on an external screen? that would have to be done by each game, most games save their graphics settings and only re-autodetect resolutions when they fail to set the one in the config

there is not a standard protocol for this, I recommend just using full screen windowed when available as that tends to act as a maximization to the screen

idk about the drive from the article but I get about 1GiB/s random reads with Luks on my wd sn 750 1tb and about 2 GiB/s without

sequential is almost identical

arch is super stable ( for the most part ) at with the arch install script it's easier than ever to install, endeavouros is a gui installer but leaves you with basically an arch system

ive been running arch on my desktop and laptop for years and the only issue I had was that fucked up grub change that somehow got thru

not sure if this will help but I use prime render offloading to run specific applications on my Nvidia GPU with Wayland

I run Wayland on my Intel integrated graphics and then prime-run programs onto my Nvidia gpu

it will deduplicate stuff but if you have dependency A v1.2 and A v1.3 for a different app they will both be there

delta updates refer to only downloading the parts of files that have changed, it reduces download time but may increase unpacking/patching time
