Lemmy has an extremism problem. Partly because of the lack of moderation tools (which is why a lot of mods supposedly left reddit in the first place) and partly because of the lack of moderation, or straight up complacency of some mods.

Trans day of remembrance is November which is a day of mourning those lost to suicide and hate crimes, and for reaching out to those who may not be in a safe place themselves.
I agree with OP in the sense that November probably would've been more appropriate, yet at the same time, considering it coincides with Thanksgiving, it would probably put some trans people in a more uncomfortable space around the holidays.
