IMO other countries shouldn't adopt laws like this, the EU and maybe the US should be the only ones, since new standards will take longer to get adopted if every country with this kinda law has to allow it instead of just one or two.

But they're already using clang/llvm, so they already need to comply with the license. Some like FreeBSD already have the llvm tools installed alongside elftoolchain

Often the LLVM tools (llvm-ar, llvm-strip, etc) are already installed by default, so why include 2 sets of binary utilities?

Yeah but I want the latest stable lol, only way to get that is build from source.

 

Arch Linux keeps falling behind in package updates, basic packages like gdb and LLVM are newer in Fedora then in Arch, and Bash is newer in DEBIAN then in Arch. Why have package updates fallen so far behind?

 

My understanding is that favorites are equivalent to twitter likes, and boosts are equivalent to twitter retweets, but on twitter people like way more then they retweet, so why is it different on mastodon?
