“The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporter’s — his, his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it’s un-American.”
It definitely came out sounding wrong. The mid-sentence correction from “supporter’s demonization” to “his demonization” does make it sound like “supporters” (without the apostrophe), but i don’t think he ever intended to call any individuals garbage. Just actions.
Very cool! Thanks for sharing.
Just a thought on random write: If you are using swap/page files, it may have more of an impact. Or if you are updating the system in place.
I have no clue whether updating by flashing a new system image would be treated as sequential or extracted randomly as individual files.
My HP inkjet works just fine… from iOS.
But it is like pulling teeth to get it to print from Windows regardless of ink level. I’ve found what I have to do is have the garbage HP dashboard app thing open on just in order to print over WiFi from any other app. And even then, it will sometimes stall out with a doc just sitting at the top of the print queue; never to physically print but unable to be cancelled . 🤬
Really does a piss poor job.
There is no enjoying a sick day like when you were a kid if you need a note. What is the #1 thing that doctors recommend for minor illness? Rest (and fluids). What am I not doing if I’m calling my PCP to see if i can make a day-of appointment, or checking the nearest urgent cares to see if they have any slots available, and driving or taking public transit to said appointment, and waiting up to 4 hours for my name to be called, and then waiting for the provider to come to the room, and then making the trek home. Go on, guess. I’ve got time. I’m just sitting here listening attentively for my name.
You really, as a sick person, need get up early to get a head start at the urgent care just so you can get home at a reasonable hour to do the thing that will make you healthy enough to work the next day.

I guess Link is too
This is the first I’m hearing about this Doritos video, and yeah, it’s a little silly and straight outta context, but it’s nowhere as wildly weird as thinking that a goof about a dommy nommy mommy feeding her pet is sacrilegious.
“Gaza is not the only issue” should not be the takeaway here:
“Even on this issue [Gaza], Donald Trump and his right-wing friends are worse,” Sanders said in the six-minute video, which he posted to X. He noted that Republicans have fought to block humanitarian aid to Gaza and that Trump — who has praised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — has suggested Gaza would be a great site for beachfront development.
I mean… The oath is usually taken at medical school not during medical licensing. There is also more to the oath than just that line, and there are different versions of the oath because the original is pretty antiquated. Some schools use a different oath entirely. What do you do if a doctor went to school in a different jurisdiction? Do you hold them to an oath that they did not take? And what is ‘harm’ anyway? Is assisted suicide harm? Is abortion harm? Is denying a patient a life-saving abortion harm? Is recussitating someone to a state in which they wish they had instead died harm?
