At the moment maybe it does, but that’s something that could change. I grew up in the US and I genuinely don’t remember trucks being so huge when I was a kid in the 80s and 90s. My dad had a work truck and the trucks now would eat that thing for breakfast.
Misty
I have a dog and build stuff and we have a little Toyota Yaris lol
I once fit all the building materials for a super king bed in my little Yaris which still impresses people over here. Absolute worse case scenario, I could get a man with a van to haul something I defo couldn’t haul for like £20, but I’ve never had to. Places like b&q or wicked (uk equivalent to like home depot or lowe’s) will deliver next day for cheap too, so it’s a non issue.
I think it might be that women with kids are often overwhelmed with looking after everyone, the idea of sitting and investing time in a console or computer game is just not part of what they feel they have time for. Mobile games are a bit easier to just put down when needed. That said I’m in my 40s, no kids and gaming all my life. I tend to play single player, replaying BotW at the moment and trying to 100% it. I have a lot of other women friends who play as well, but they do all tend to not be moms.
We got one on sale 3 years ago and I have zero regrets. Every heat wave I sleep like a baby. We’ve maybe used it 20 nights total, but so freaking worth it. We do keep it to one room though, not trying to decimate the electric bill.
But she didn’t buy it. I’m guessing you didn’t read the article.
She felt uneasy about the “pre sale inspection” so got her own which found all those problems and then pulled out of the sale.
Wasn’t a Toyota, was a gmc if I remember right. Defo US brand. Brown with a blue stripe :)
