I can't tell if he's trying to establish a basis for being like "child labor apprenticeship is actually cool and awesome everyone should be doing it" or if hes trying to bait someone in to being like "Why are you towing your kid around everywhere when you're supposed to be working this is no place for a child etc." and they'll try and spin that in to 'a women shouldn't be in the workplace if they have children to look after' or some shit.
