This was about mid May. The weather was amazing. Got a bit hot during the day, but the night got perfectly cool. Not much rain at all, just a few showers that didn’t last more than 30 minutes

Echoing what’s already been said here but just voicing that the same is true for me. It feels people actually read and engage with my posts, and what I have to say won’t be drowned out by the masses.

Part of the reason I think it’s ok to have slight barrier to entry that the fediverse has in general.

Recently took a trip out to Moab. Absolutely spectacular views, and unlike any landscapes I’d seen before

The majority of people don’t use any form of ad block, especially on mobile so i’m not sure your argument holds there. I don’t see how Youtube wanting to monetize its users somehow will make the quality go to shit? Centralized things need to be monetized, and as much as we all would like it, a mainstream decentralized video streaming platform is not realistic given current tech.

I don’t personally see this as in the same category as what Twitter and Reddit are doing.

Do you have any links to this research? Sounds super interesting

It does but doesn’t enable swipe to navigate back from anywhere sadly. Right now the wefwef PWA seems to be the most similar (still lacks swipe from anywhere).

Is there any app that recreates Apollos ability to disable right swipes (to allow back swipes anywhere on screen), and or allows swipe to collapse comments?
