This article is from January and a quick search didn't yield anything newer.

The Cybertruck isn't instead on the "2024 American Made index," so we probably can only go on whatever Tesla is claiming at the moment, though it does seem likely that it will be at or near the top of the ranking for most American trucks of next year's list.

I was a stupid young man. IMO, most of the reason younger people are less likely to vote is that they are far more likely to be in jobs that, one way or another, provide less opportunity to go vote. Plus they are less likely to be able to afford to take time off or pay for transportation.

Of course there's vote by mail in many places now, but one of the dumbest moves (for their own interests) conservatives have done is to call into question the legitimacy of mail-in ballots - now conservatives I've heard speaking on the matter refuse to use mail-in ballots, which I suspect will end up meaning that some conservative voters that don't have the time or means to get to a voting booth will miss out on voting entirely rather than send in a mail ballot.

Leader of a gang responsible for a sizeable portion of the evil shit that has happened in world history says people should think about supporting someone who is less evil.

Okay, guess your followers should switch to Buddhism, Hinduism, Confucianism, Atheism, or any other of a big handful of less-evil -isms to choose from than Catholicism.

Well the polls, surveys, questionnaires and polls; that's not got much polls in it.

Yeah sure, there definitely has been a history of bias in favor of British drivers and teams by Sky - no question. But they've also damn near revered Max as god since his first race in F1, so I don't totally buy his logic there.

Moreover, I think Newey is discounting the fact that people just have a strong tendency to root for the underdog or root for the fall of the king. Vettel was despised during his reign, as was Hamilton, and now largely the same with Max.

Not completely by my own choice, but I feel like I've seen National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation - at least in part - once or more per holiday season since it was released.

The same is true of Elf, but obviously that movie is quite a bit more recent.

For movies I've watched the most by my own choice, it's probably the Kill Bills or Inglorious Basterds, but those have got to be way behind in raw count. Goonies and the Back to the Future series probably have honorable mentions because of how long they've been around and continue to be a fun watch.

Except capitalism could otherwise be called "Greed: The Game"

Capitalism takes greed and puts it to work as the center of an economic system. While greed has either destroyed or deformed communism any time it's been tried at scale, there's 100% no separating greed from capitalism - they're inexorably linked.

Maybe it's my information bubble speaking, but I feel most people are now recognizing these funding shutdowns to be almost entirely due to Republican actions. With election day less than a week after the "due date" on this one, I think it would be political suicide for Republicans not to fund the government this time around. Though maybe that's their plan? What happens if the election is held during a shutdown? Would that help their mounting plans to refuse certification of election results they won't like? Not sure how it would have an impact, since those elections are locally-run. Less oversight maybe?

"Take the Princess and the Wookie to my ship."

I guess James Earl Jones, Carrie Fisher, and Peter Mayhew can now all ride together.
