I have road tested the Coles brand lemon curd cheesecake and I'm impressed with the $6 dessert. A little on the sweet side but that's being picky. 4/5 yum yums. ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ

Good morning to all
Me: I have adhd I'll have enough time to make a sign Also me: hasn't moved from the couch in hours
So antsy to get the hell out of work tonight (3hrs to go), my anxiety boarders on panic the entire time I'm here. Honestly think I might have developed a bit of agoraphobia working from home for so long.
how come there are so many replies on the discussion thread but barely any posts
I'm playing my latest op shop vinyls. Winners so far. The traditional Hawaiian music was nice, some I recognised and it was the first time I've ever heard the Hawaiian language spoken or sung. Menuhin playing Delibes, omg, it is so beautiful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErBCmWcr41c
It is beautifully sunny outside at the moment, but still cold. The sun is trying its best, but just isn't strong enough to overpower the winter chill.
unexpected WFH day due to kidcalhoon2 being sick - i've actually got nothing I can do as I had lined up a bunch of field work....
My brother sent a belated birthday gift over and I wanted to just save it. But he sent it because yesterday I mentioned Wynton Marsalis was coming to town and he knows how rarely I go out. So I looked up tickets casually just now and there was exactly one left so I decided yolo and booked it. I dunno if the MSO likes creating artificial scarcity to drive yolo purchases like mine, and I'm sure more tickets will be released, but if not, woops I guess I bought the last ticket.
The man is home today and I have the morning show on while I fluff around doing shit and the adverts are already starting to shit him. He's been awake for half an hour.
Yesterday he went to the doctor and was given antibiotics. When I questioned him why, his response was "I don't know darling. Apparently my ears are severely blocked and I need to go back next week and he had a mask, face shield and full body armour on and I'm sure his 3rd language may have been English and I couldn't hear him properly and I wanted to get the fuck out of there". At that point I stopped all interrogations.
Commonwealth games in Vic scrapped apparently.. oops
They might need to scale down the event, if nobody else wants it when it gets given out for free.
Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Oh geez. My colleagues did some work on the prelim stages over the last few months. I am surprised but definitely not shocked
The cool Winter air carries hints of Spring,
Soft scents of flowers, light wind brings.
The shadow of earth rolling over from East,
Carried up by the dusky pink Belt of Venus.
The Sun sets sights on lands far away,
Gone just long enough to start a new day.
Maybe I'll see those places too, I wonder,
Drifting back down into a restless slumber.
Heavy things lifted. Cheese and biscuits consumed. A bit more study and then it will be dinner. Planning a parmigiana, potato bake and some other vegetable dish yet to be determined.
I have a Q that might seem dumb, but I don't have any friends who would be able to answer haha
Are women who work in IT sort of expected to wear make up? I need to start applying for IT jobs, and in my whole 27 years I think I've worn make up like three times - all of those being for dancing events when I was a kid lol and I'd really prefer to not start wearing it now
I reckon it'd be a brave manager who would try to enforce a make-up policy, especially if you're not customer-facing. I doubt it'd be an issue, I've worked with many a lady nerd who went without - and they're often the coolest peeps to work with. :)
Oh true? Thanks for your insights, it makes me feel a bit less anxious about it haha I just want to do IT jobs smh I selfishly don't want to change stuff like that about me hahaha
Did my first ever trip (as captain in a 4-wheeled vessel) with my wife tonight. 60km round trip to Burwood and back.
Uneventful, except the construction muppets on the city-bound Eastern Freeway decided, in a space of 2km, to put up an 80, then 40, then 100, then 80, then 40 sign again before actually encountering any road work. Other road muppets simply ignore it and blazed past at 80 in the adjacent lane.
Day 23 of exercise program and day 7 of tummy exercises completed. Once again I swapped out some of the exercises that might upset foot recovery for more tummy exercises. I'm not really getting the cardio I set out for, but at least I'm sticking to an exercise program for the first time in my life. I just keep saying to myself, there'll be time enough for that when your foot is better.
So far my plan has been to just get into a routine and stick to it. When I've finished this set of exercises, my next step is to begin another set but actually focus on my diet this time. Normally when I come home on pay day I'll bring a bottle of spirits and some alcoholic ginger beer to enjoy for the week. I've decided to cut that out, starting from yesterday. (You've inspired me Hongophones!) Also will benefit Mr Peeler as I noticed that the vodka and GB is disappearing quicker than my consumption alone.
Thanks for listening to the extended remix of "I'm getting healthy!" Have a great day everyone!
Idiot drivers out today. 2 belting down the same one way street in the wrong direction within minutes of each other
