I personally use rdx.overdevs.com. It's UI is absolutely fantastic. It's read-only, but that's perfect because I've resolved to never post there again
If you like read-only, can I recommend Stealth?

Revanced 3rd party apps
I use it because there are two communities I still want to see, one is a kebble sub, and the other has torrents which are easier to find than going to a torrent site.
Because lemmy isn’t nearly as large as reddit and most of the communities I’m in are barely (if at all) active on lemmy
Be the change you want to see in the world. I loved r/writingprompts, and the one on Lemmy is practically dead except for me posting a prompt about every day or so. I've been tossing memes from my collection into different communities just to get content out there too.
He is obviously using both reddit and lemmy. Just because he stops using reddit it wont make the topics he follows on lemmy magically active.
Anyone who still uses the official reddit app at this point is just unsaveable

I'm still adjusting to lemmy where very few people are trying to be edge lords. It keeps surprising me to read through the comments on a controversial topic and there's only a few of them, and they're always very heavily down voted.

enshitification intensifies
This might be a server side error, actually. Here’s a comment from someone on r/redditmobile:
“For me, it displays the “no notifications” prompt. I think there is a server/app error that is causing notifications to not display. The “enable notifications and email” pop ups that occur when checking the activity screen might display instead of the “no notifications” box might appear if you do not have them enabled.”
Yeah, most of the time these type of things are either a server side or a cache issue.

Here’s come another wave of Reddit refugees.
It sucked before too. Certain types of notification were only viewable in the app. If you had one, it would give you an orange envelope on the mobile site, but nothing new could be seen inside. And it wouldn't even tell you what's happening so I just wrote off the entire notification system as broken. So if I got a reply on Reddit I wouldn't know because there's no indication. I still won't ever install the app and I'm now less likely to do so because I hate push notifications.
