My typical bot loadout has been:

  • Medic perk armor
  • Diligence Counter Sniper
  • Stim Pistol
  • Thermite
  • Stratagems:
    • 500kg
    • Orbital Walking Barrage
    • Quasar
    • AT Emplacement

But, with the IC, I’ve been running and avoiding catching on fire too much to get the emplacement down until extraction, so I have replaced it with the shield generator backpack. If the planet has the DSS barrage perk, I’ll swap the orbital walking with an auto cannon sentry, but I might do that swap always because it distracts the devastators.

I don’t have the fire resistance armors, otherwise I’d consider those, but having the medic perk with the stim pistol has been really useful to help fellow divers save stims.

For me it hasn't changed, but that's because I just run the AC-1 and StA-52 for everything (50% against fire, gas, acid and electricity).

Paired with Ballistic shield with Talon or Senator for the bots.

The rest I change up for the fun of it. But that's what I usually go with. When the hoard of bots creep around the corner, I just whip up the shield and start dismantling them

Unflinching armor
Sickle
Grenade pistol
HE nade

Stratagems:

Varies but usually

Walking barrage
380 barrage
Mortar or auto cannon sentry
Rail gun

Consistently top frag in every game

I crafted 2 loadouts for IC, the first is my usual bot setup but with fire armour, thats then:

  • medium fire armour(normally its B-01 tactical)
  • explosive crossbow
  • senator revolver
  • G-16 impact grenades
  • personal shield backpack
  • THE GOAT: anti material rifle
  • 500kg for boom
  • and AT emplacement to finish it off

The loadout is speced out so that im just a decently fast moving, but heavily armoured sniper. I get up close and personal and just blast these clankers to hell. Sniper deals with hulks, devastators and the chicken walker thingies, while crossbow is there for large groups and taking out camps from a safe ish distance. When bot drops are called i put donw the at emplacement and start blasting. However the shotgun devastators where so fucking annoying that i started running a wasp build:

  • lightfire armour
  • counter sniper
  • ultimatum
  • thermite grenades
  • 500kg
  • wasp
  • gas mines
  • 380 barrage Here i mostly just focus on being support and taking out the devastators so my team can keep on killing.

Fire resist armor; yes, it's on the nose, but shrugging off 75% of enemy damage is huge, plus this goes well with... Double Edged Sickle Grenade pistol or the new laser pistol WASP / SPEAR / Recoilless Rifle Rocket Turret EAT-17 Rocket pods / 500kg / orbital precision

More and more I'm liking WASP for taking down anything below a brute or tank; even taking those out when weakspots can be locked on and hit. EAT-17 for taking out the heavies. Rocket turret for when things go to crap; they can take out dropships along with heavies and tanks. Last slot is situational and personal preference. I try to stick with shorter cooldown, unlimited orbital strats but sometimes you want to bring a rail or laser.

I’ll have to try the WASP out, I used it to liberate the Voteless when it was available to all, but haven’t brought it into a bug or bot mission.

It's great from a distance. I would recommend recoil or spear on the swamp and heavily forested maps due to tree interference.

I usually run the Fortified armor passive to help survive the rocket spam. Against the Incineration Corps, it is as you surmised the Inflammable passive that will grant the most survivability. Since you do not have any armor with it, you might be able to fall back on the Acclimated passive. If you have neither, well, you will need to be very quick on the dive.

Youll increase survivability with the Fireproof armour but its really only slightly helpful. With the shield backpack and the armour I still get one shot by those devastators. The only option is to outrange them really. The hoverpack and jetpack strats do not put out flames when you use them, as ive died to fire tick after launching cause it doesnt go out. The only real way I have to deal with patrols, even in lvl 5 is to not engage or get really accurate throws with airstrikes. Gattling barrage and airburst work well and come back quick. If you can aim well, the sniper and eruptor works great.

Yep out-ranging seems to be the way, it is tough to do if you join in progress and they’re in the middle of a fight already. I had a Helldive mission last night where I JIP’d, tried to get some distance, and no matter which direction I went I either ran into a patrol or fully defended POI, felt like I spent half of the entire mission just sprinting and stimming lol

Strong agree! 99% of the time I take my high level and SOS drop so all of my games are inprogress. Had some nasty drops this weekend just trying to keep the guys on the ground from entering the meat grinder. No one at lower levels knows how to disengage and/or run and shoot the constant patrols were super deadly. Plenty of drops where I came I saw and got melted.
