Other 75% just don't want to spend that much fucking money on a car.
Electric Vehicles
Electric Vehicles are a key part of our tomorrow and how we get there. If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. This community is where we discuss the various different vehicles and news stories regarding electric transportation.

I most definitely don't like musk, don't want to support him, and don't have the money to get a car, but the biggest reason I won't even consider getting one is because of their abhorrent safety.
I’ve posted this before, but one of my favorite butterfly effect stories is that the famously under-regulating, and ethically dubious Elaine Chao let Tesla implement new driver control methods while she was Transportation Secretary, and a few years later the same sketchy controls helped to kill her sister (in addition to drunk driving).
Finna go to Mexico just to import a BYD or Nio
Yeah I've been pissed off with elon since he turned project redwood into a cash grab.. $37500 is a goddamn ripoff.
25% of 800 U.S. citizens surveyed is not indicative of the entire country. Not only that, the original study release here (as far as I could find) doesn't state how or where the survey was conducted.
A survey done in California would be wildly different than one done in Mississippi. That article and this post are ethically dishonest, and the study proves absolutely nothing.
Hey guys, I found the Tesla fanboy who never took a statistics class.
Yeah fuck this guy
I'm trying not to buy a new car in general. If my car (ICE) got totaled, I'd consider a used Model 3 or Y because you can't really beat the bang for your buck, but I'd rather hold out for a used Rivian R2 or R3 in a few years.
Due to the way the world is developing .... I never did buy new vehicles before, but now I'm convinced, I will never ever buy any new vehicle ... gas or electric.
I'll drive a used dumpy rusted out car or truck until I can't any more.
Also include Tesla solar on that list. If Tesla can access my cars data and cameras at will, what is keeping them out of my power system?
I noticed a cybertruck downstairs when I was vaping on a bench. I wrote the word “stupid” on a sticky note when I got back to my desk. If the thing is still there when I go to lunch in 30m, I’ll put it on the driver-side window.
Please don’t do this. It will have the opposite effect of what you want.
Also the car is literally covered in cameras that are always on, and the owner is likely to be petty.
