I've been around enough dogs to get the drum part, but what's the song?
Just the common practice of telling dogs how dumb they are as they look adoringly up at you, combined with drumming to make a song.
Ok. It seems weird to me that it's so common for people to call their dogs dumb... but OK.

I have a theory they actually hate this and are wagging and panting because they're nervous.
Nah you can tell the difference between anxiety and happiness. For one the anxious dog wouldn't be begging for more by pushing their body against me. Two, the tail.
You clearly haven't been around dogs very much or just don't understand them. The dogs I've lived with have practically begged me to drum on them, they love it
