To celebrate Agatha All Along, the Marvel Television series is joining forces with herbal supplement brand Apothékary on the limited-edition Wellbound Box ($45) featuring the new Mindcraft herbal tincture. The kit also includes the Gold Daily Remedy Spoon, a collectible box and a digital booklet of potion recipes.

No way to report this obvious advertisement?

If you seriously think that me posting this is endorsing people to buy a 45$ herbal supplement, then I don't know what to tell you dude.

The marketing people would be very bad at their job to think they should promote that in here.

This is a slightly amusing TIL post imo, nothing more than that.

Downvote? It's not posted by an obvious advertising account. It arguably fits this sub. It's not my favorite post, but I don't think it violates any rules.

This just in: If you make your account "non-obvious", then you're free to advertise!

Just in case it's not clear </sarcasm>

Also -- I'll point you to https://legal.lemmy.world/tos/#70-advertising

The INSTANCE rules are as such:

Lemmy.world is a free service, funded by donations and run by volunteers for the benefit of its users. As such, it is not intended to be used as a marketing channel for extensive commercial advertising or product promotion.

Then I should probably ban this whole community as we often discuss Marvel films, encouraging folks to see them in theaters and subscribe to our corporate Disney overlords.

This post was made by a member of the community, someone who frequently comments and posts a wide variety of Marvel content.

As a source the Hollywood Reporter is a reasonable source. It's not someone's personal advertising blog, it's not an Amazon affiliate link. We can argue that it's just fluff from the Hollywood Reporter itself, but that's "journalism" nowadays.

I've seen worse things posted to this community and they've been downvoted into oblivion.

Downvotes to me are the best solution to these types of posts, assuming folks find them problematic.

I reported it as spam.
