The entire article is an interesting read, even if it's not exactly something new.

It's worth noting that people doing the begging aren't always necessarily the people authorized to pay for others' labor. That doesn't excuse begging, but it points to a pervasive culture issue... That's largely fueled by barons. It circles back to shitty companies, as it always seems to.

Still, the most surprising part was actually...

then I ask him, why is he asking me about my website?

"Oh I'm just thinking about how we can put ads on it."

What the actual hell?

P.s. I saw a broken link and a typo, but no way to contact the author (no about page or e-mail). Sad.
