I had this exchange once at work. I promise all attempts at smoother communication failed before I was forced to answer their line of questioning literally.

I really hate incident response meetings while the incident is happening. Because they are never just one meeting, everyone wants a pre meeting and post meeting all which cut into resolution times.
In our internal RFO I have started adding meetings into the response timeline to show how much time they waste.
