MODERATORS

Is there a Lemmy app that has the ability to download (via WiFi) a certain number of posts from predefined communities to be able to read them on the go without using any data?

Basically, I'm looking for a Lemmy equivalent to the offline Reader for Reddit

I didn't even know Reddit had an offline reader app.

The closest I've got is an rss reader for lemmy. All fediverse posts (from what I understand) can be turned into an rss feed. Lemmy communities too. I wish they had multi communities but it is what it is.

Yeah open rss has Lemmy feeds that always link to your instance.

What do you mean by multi communities?

You know how reddit has /multi/ to the like that but can include multiple setvers. So you can see multiple servers worth of /c/technology posts all in one go.

I'd be interested in this too.

This is on the road map for Sync but no ETA.

I used offline reader for reddit a lot, and wanted the same thing for lemmy.

So I created it. I've only just put it on the play store. And haven't done much testing, since I mainly made it because i wanted to use it myself I've only tested it on one device.

If you do try it let me know if you have issues with it.
