/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Hating someone off of their race, culture, creed, sexuality, or identity is not remotely acceptable. Mistakes can happen but do your best to respect others.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon' and fuck over our artist friends.

Fun will now commence.

We saw his father, his mother, his grandfather, his brother, his other brother, and his daughter. Not too shabby for an Android.

Does the Great Link count? Because if it does we saw more of Odo's family than anyone else's.

And they’re all you. And you are them.

And we are the world.

I’m old enough to remember watching this live on TV (when you could still look directly at Michael Jackson without puking). Also, I tried to find a fitting meme to post with my comment, but I couldn’t find a good one. Cheers to you.

I remember watching it as as kid as well.

You win by a speciest technicality— that being, humanoids don’t see The Founders in “that way”. But we should.

Picard and Worf both got the same amount of family exposure if counting by how many family members we met.

The three of them were the most developed and fleshed out characters of the TNG cast.

We met Worf's father, mother, human brother, klingon brother, son (that gets me to 5), now if we include Worf's wife(s) either 6 or 7 depending how we count K'Ehleyr. Vs Data's 6. So I guess!

Also, Worf’s great-grandfather, Colonel Worf, who defended Kirk and McCoy when on trial in ST:VI!

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I don’t think Worf’s son counts.

Neither does he

Picard picks up four or five more family members if you count his The Inner Light family.

Wasn’t there a lot of Ferengi family shown throughout ds9?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Yeah we see a lot of Quark’s extended family

I'm trying to think of who else was shown other than Rom, Nog and his mother... He talked a lot about a cousin Galen. I don't recall ever seeing him, or any other family aside from those mentioned, tho.

Unless you mean his Klingon family from that time he got married.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago

Galen shows up in an episode where Quark becomes an arms dealer when he's struggling for money (S05E18). This is after his Ferengi business license was revoked. Galen, his boss, and the customer, were chased off by a team of assassins / hitmen (I can't remember exactly what they called them in the show).

I'm on season 6 now and none of them have returned yet, so presumably they're dead.

I’m thinking of the episode where they had to rescue his mother, wasn’t Quark related to a couple of the Ferengi he recruited (aside from Nom/Rog)?

There’s also his arms dealing cousin, and not to mention his step-dad The Grand Nagus!

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago

Only his cousin Galen whom he sprung from jail.

Voyager's EMH didn't have a big family; but he holds the title for being the only main cast character to lose a child on-screen.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago

I'm pretty sure Worf lost Alexander a few times on purpose.

cough David Marcus cough

Worf comes close

What about Kirk? We see his Father and Mother in the Kelvin timeline. His brother along with wife and child in TOS and SNW. Despite them not marrying, I think that Carol Marcus and James Marcus still count as family. We also see Admiral Marcus, Carol's father. Also Kirk did briefly have another wife, Miramanee, and unborn child. They got stoned to death before the episode ended and maybe the unborn child doesn't count as seen.
