So I mentioned in passing to wifey that I'm thinking about getting a buzzcut when the weather gets warmer.
She's urging me to do it, and is now offering to shave my head...
Do it. Last 20 years = cheap haircuts (especially if you do yourself in the end), quick dry post shower/swim etc, no thought about actual hair style, built in fidget toy after fresh cut. Hair life is good.
I have long hair which is definitely a useful fidget toy, I don't think I'd know what to do with my hands if I cut it short now. At the moment I can hold on to the end of my ponytail behind my back. pull it forward to tuck under my chin, or tie it into literal knots. Being able to run my hands over my head and go mmm, velvet... just doesn't seem as versatile. Probably looks less silly though.
Be prepared with a beanie for when the weather turns cold unexpectedly.
I deffo reccomend getting her to help with the back; I re-did my undercut today and knew I went a bit too high when some of my long hair came off too ๐ I measure with my finger but obviously not well. Partner came home and confirmed it's just a bit arched at the back slightly.
Getting her to check the back will ensure it's an even shave!
