These are my go to quotes from Snatch and The Big Lebowski that I use whenever the occasion arises. Not everyone gets the reference. I also refer to my anxiety meds as "anti anxiety disco biscuits." I got that one from Shameless - my doctor got a kick out of that.
"What's happening with them sausages, Charlie?"
"In the quiet words of the Virgin Mary... come again?"
"D'ya like dags?"
"You're out of your element!"
"This aggression will not stand, man."
"Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"
I had a roommate once who kept walking in and contributing to conversations with no idea what was happening, so "You're out of your element!" became a staple.
I once had a dog who was a bit of an asshole, but I loved the cheeky bastard. He knew he wasnβt supposed to be in the kitchen and would purposely lie on the floor and place one paw on the kitchen tile that separated it from the living room and just stared at me. Iβd frequently shout, βOVER THE LINE!β
But that was just between me and him. :)
OMG I'm gonna start using this. My dogs also know not to come in the kitchen but they think as long as their back feet are still on the carpet they are not in the kitchen.
YES!!! They totally know what they are doing! LOL
I love that! Hahaha
"This is what happens when you fuck a man in the ass!" is a favorite of mine.
I like the edited for TV version too "..when you FIND A STRANGER IN THE ALPS!!!"
Lmao you just reminded me. I'm a fan of indie folk singer Phoebe Bridgers. Her debut album was titled "Stranger in the Alps" and it took me like two years to realize why that phrase sounded so familiar.
I hope youβre not going around smashing up other peoples cars ;)
It's great that the opportunity has arisen for you to ask someone whether they like dags.
I use it all the time
Iβm currently rewatching this movie right now. I LOVE that line!
I love the safe for TV dub of John Goodman beating up the corvette:
"THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU FIND A STRANGER IN THE ALPS!"
