Fully expecting this to be yet another Rockstar Special, i.e. a technical marvel rendering a painstakingly crafted world, full of boring gameplay, underdeveloped systems, and dull, unlikable characters.
Biggest complaint of RDR2 - seemingly never ending tutorials. Every fucking mission had a new gameplay piece that wasn't used for fucking anything else and required you to use buttons in a totally different way than the last one.
What system did you play in on? I played it on PC with KBM and can’t recall them forcing me to use buttons in too many different ways. I don’t think I even rebound any of the keys
ps4. Its been a while, i played it at launch, but i remember the context controls changing constantly and being weirdly implemented.
It really annoyed me how RDR2 introduced hot air balloon, mounted machine gun, and flammable oil mechanics and then you could only use them for one mission and not at all in the open world
i dont even remember the hot air balloon

you use it to spy on the prison john marston is in late in the game so you can break him outoooooh right, now i remember.
can't wait for the entire open-world to be completely useless for anything other than going on meaningless rampages and driving from mission end point A to mission start point B
