Nah. I don't think that their reputation will increase (the gaming landscape is just way too fractured for that and "gamers" have shown they are fine just eating slop) but both of those games have given me joys and wonder that no other game has since I've stopped being a teen.

It's way past time to give up on all current cultural institutions and try to develop new local ones that are run as cheaply as possible. The culture industry is dying and there's nothing to say but good riddance

yeah for the most part, although you'll have to check if its a re-encode and what codec it is. there's loads of old uploads on there and they might still be avi or divx.

hot but obviously correct take: hardware doesn't matter, only games do and nintendo has never made more consistently good games than right now
and the best part is: you can just steal and emulate all of them

actual consoles are also landfill trash, except in that they get exclusive games that you can not get anywhere else, so as a consumer there's actually a reason to get one. unlike fpga consoles where every single game they could run also runs completely fine on any computer and you definitely already have one of those
