What are you picking?

Pictured: Tweet stating "$10 million right now in your hand, but there's a catch:

  • A snail is chasing you for the rest of your life and if it touches you, you die a terrible death.
  • the snail cannot be killed
  • It knows your location at all times
  • its only purpose is to find you You taking the $?"

Give me money. Money me. Money now. Me a money needing a lot now

I’m assuming cannot be killed means it lives forever…

Somehow 10 million does not feel appealing knowing there is a high likelihood of death by snail.

I feel the same, I know there's a high chance I'd forget about it on the first day whilst I'm too swept up in the rush of the money. Lol.

I could pay someone else to put it in a strong steel box and drop it the bay

Do you remember the old coke bottles people turned into terrariums? I feel like a snail could live comfortably in one of those.

That is true and clever.

I'm taking the cash and putting a cardboard box with holes in it over the top of the snail.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Ah, but snails can eat through cardboard. Haven’t you ever had them eating your mail?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Just the overdue bills :(

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

I have not had any that have eaten my mail but if they do like the taste of paper products then an icecream container with air holes will do.

It takes a snail 35 hours to travel about 700 metres, I reckon I could out-run that slimy psycho and claim the cash. They only live for a few years, so I'll hang out on my own million dollar island* until it all blows over, then I'll return to normal society.

(assuming I get the 10mil upfront?)

Depends on the snail heh..

Reminds me of this scene:

Basically this video from Rooster Teeth.

Edit: Wow yeah apparently this is a meme on TikTok last year or something. I feel like such an early adopter to a meme.

I’d like the $$$&, but then there’s the question of what to do with the snail. Do you keep it confined but close (to supervise), or move to the other side of the world & hope it can’t work out air/sea travel?
