I've never bothered to see anything past the original manga but I've always loved the design of SSJ4 because it ties everything back to the original Journey to the West Monkey King inspiration.
In the new stuff they just give Goku red, blue and grey hair

Also holy Christ does Super look godawful. Did all the animators on it have two broken wrists
