Being invested in Tomb Raider lore is as incomprehensible to me as being into Frogger lore. How many people could possibly care about this?

frogger actually has a very rich and compelling lore. in one game, for instance, he can jump very high. and in another he extend his tongue very far. there's also a game where you get to see his feet

Gamers really need to read some books

Sometimes stories are like food. I can enjoy a finely crafted meal and it is very delicious. Sometimes though... junk food and unhealthy stuff just calls to you. You enjoy it for a bit but afterwards you admire it wasn't that great.

Some games, some manga, and some manhua especially fall under junk food for me, but I of course like reading full novels and the like too.

That's fine. I'm not trying to gatekeep. I'm just venting at daft gamers

I-was-saying I like the old games and the stories around them. Granted I've never dabbled in the games post 2013-reboot or the comic books.

Old Lara was really simple. She just wanted cool things to decorate her giant British manor with and was willing to kill anyone and anything to get them

Normal Brit activities then?

When I was younger I didn't think much of it in games like this, but when you go back and play something like Far Cry 3 or Tomb Raider (2013) and you realize how many people you kill along the way... goddamn.
