they'll realise that legalisation and certified selling points will be better.

Don't get your hope up, the most they(and we asian in general) will do is to decriminalise drug abuse, which imo is significantly a step forward.

Also let's not forget that legalising marijuana is still a very new concept, and researcher is still ongoing about the prolonged use of the drug. And "drug use" isn't exclusive to marijuana, there's lots and lots of hard drug that shouldn't be use recreationally.
