Nobody can back in to park.

Backing in to park is so much better though. Better viability of the parking space with mirrors. And then when you leave there’s less to think about.

My rule would be the exact opposite, lol. It's proven to be safer over and over. The main reason is because you have good vision of the road and traffic when you leave, as opposed to when you have to leave in reverse.

Agreed. It is far safer to back into a parking spot than into traffic, especially if there is pedestrian, bicycle, or motorcycle traffic sharing the lanes.

It's annoying as hell, it blocks the flow of traffic, and it causes the cars to lineup the wrong way with each other which makes people more frequently open their doors into the side of my car.

When people pull out backwards, they block just as much traffic, with the addition of being riskier.

Why not just forbid forward parking? Backwards parking is often necessary for cars with shit turning circles.

Who told you to drive a parade float to the store?

Doing a lot of heavy duty crew cab needing work at the local target?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

No, but I need to go to target to grab something for the job I'm doing, and I'm already in my work shuttle.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Ah, gotcha, you need new underwear and a new stick of deodorant for the job. That makes total sense then, be sure to hold up traffic so you can back in to park. It's essential.

Unironically this. I accidentally shit myself on the job because of this new medication I'm adapting to, and I need a fresh pair of undies unless I want to risk chaffing.
