Yeah first I heard too.

Honestly a small budget might genuinely be better. It will encourage focusing on the story and the characters, rather than getting grandiose ideas and making a movie which is visually gorgeous, but vapid - a trap that lots of big-budget adaptations tend to fall into, I think.

Yeah, I’d rather watch something with less spectacle but a lot of heart. Maybe they will lean into the horror elements a bit more.

Horror can be done really well on a budget, so it would be a good choice.
