How likely or close are we to another pandemic? What would be the most likely government responses?

What I think I know : They tried to take a picture at Arlington National Cemetery, but couldn't? There was a physical altercation maybe? But the Trump campaign said there wasn't?

Is there more to this? Can someone explain to me the context of how this is a scandal?

Like I hate Trump but I don't understand why this is a big deal. It doesn't seem to involve the man personally, just some staffers who had an argument with a cemetery worker, and seems like small potatoes compared to other scandals he's had. Is it because of how sacred the cemetary is, or did they get into an actual fist fight, or did Trump personally interfere in some way?

What happened in the vegan community?

I hadn't heard about any of this until seeing that ToS post.

Somehow I missed what out of this world happened to result in some people stranded in space, and I thought it'd be fun/interesting to see how others describe what led to it.

I saw someone say it was because she's supporting dems but that doesn't seem like enough for the amount of dunking I've seen. Did y'all think she was so far to the left that that would be a betrayal? I've typically thought of her as a progressive more than a leftist. Is there some statement she made I'm not aware of?

I heard that CloudStrike is something that runs on Windows servers, and an error with it caused a bunch of Win Servers to crash. What's the impact of the issue too?

I'm not a tech person, tho I do use Linux desktop, btw 😉

Not that it personally affects me- I'm not in USA and it's one of the platforms I dislike the most. But I can't find a concise explanation for why.

I've searched for news articles and those I found either don't address the reason behind the ban and talk about US politics, or are vague about it, saying it would collect user sensitive data.

I've also found lists of countries banning TikTok from government devices, okay I understand that, and some countries banning it completely because of cultural sensitivities, which I doubt is US' case.

Fair enough. What kind of user sensitive data would it be collecting? Isn't this what most social media apps do already? What makes TikTok stand out in this regard?

I don’t speak German and even if I did I wouldn’t know what is going on as to why there is so many posts in German referencing pizza. Anyone in Germany care to clue me in?

News sources appear to be lying in the worst scenario, or distorting and confusing you, in the best scenario ..

Security footage on YouTube shows him illegally approaching a plane that was getting started to move on the runway.. then cuts for some mysterious secret reason… The plane was only “taxxiing” (slowly turning itself) on the tarmac…

People claim to be close to the incident say he was sucked in the turbines (not “snuck in”).. others say he was sucked in but wasn’t chopped because a protruding part stopped his body from getting deeper..Fact we know for sure is he died in the end..

So i am only concerned by one thing, that even AI cannot give me a straight answer.. Why didn’t the pilots stop the engine when they saw him?

I was only caught up with the news to its release date and didnt bother to check on it since then. I don't plan to play it, but rather to check on the headlines and reviews surrounding it since I've heard some negative comments about the game. I know about the recent trends of the gaming industry but I was kinda hoping for Starfield to be better since I really dig the concept of open world and space exploration games.

If I had a nickel for every one I've seen, I'd have two nickels, which isn't much, but it's strange it happened twice.

And I have no idea what it means.

A couple of examples:

One and two.

I keep hearing about layoffs, studios being closed and how the industry is troubled. Are companies losing money and sales are poor, or is it the same as Google and other companies laying off people just to pump their stock price and make money despite profitability?

I know they're posting diss tracks against each other, but I'm not sure why? What made this start? And how was J. Cole involved? And how has this feud evolved so far?

I feel so out of the loop on this one! All I see is reaction images of the songs and Kendrick destroying Drake, but without the context of why they were posted, I'm still confused.

All those student protests on the US seem to be about stopping their universities from supporting the Israel government. But supporting a foreign government is not a normal thing for a university to do, why do they do it?

Is there some educational or research resource they get?

I feel like I've been kind of in the loop for most of the headlines regarding this confrontation. Yet somehow I can't find it within myself to actually care about either side. It seems like both are lead by genocidal parties, hell bent on indoctrinating their populace into hating the other side. Yet at the same time people are able to discern which state is the good one. And some going so far as to believe that one state might even be right over the other.

So far from what I've read and heard, it seems that overall Isreal is just more successful militarily and is encroaching on Palestinian land, and is exhibiting control over some of it. Is that the reason why one might support Palestine? Is it the fact that Isreal has more direct power in the region and thus can easily execute its will a problematic issue for some? From what I can see, both sides have caused massive civilian casualties and neither side wants a two state solution, so neither of those reasons can be a contributing factor to side picking, right? That being said, I can't find a reason for supporting Isreal, so does Palestine win out by default? But what of the people that support Isreal, do they do that purely because they're an American ally? Is any of this side taking have anything to do with the insertion of Jews into the region? What is expected to be done outside of a two state solution or genocide by those taking sides?

I have a lot of questions, and I obviously don't expect all of them to be answered in a single post. So maybe focusing on the elements you're highly informed on would be helpful and then I can kind of piece together the details. Thank you in advance!
