Everybody expected a Harris endorsement, so I guess she's saying that he's afraid of Trump and that makes him a coward. It doesn't seem to fit with the other stuff, though.

What little boxes? I haven't seen a newspaper vending machine in years. They still have those?

Don't worry. In 150 years, the US president will apologize for the genocide in Gaza.

Not committing genocide...just enabling genocide. I believe that's called a "distinction without a difference".

Still not a good reason for voting Trump. Fortunately, most people have Jill Stein and/or Cornel West on their ballots, so they can vote for an anti-genocide candidate if they want to.

I was impressed by them, but I was also a child. I remember them being comparable to SNES graphics and...they aren't.

The problem isn't with the processing, though. It's too much sugar, too much of the wrong kind of fat, etc.

It's possible for a minimally-processed food to be worse for you than a highly-processed food due to the ingredients.

Blocking is key. Once I started blocking some communities, my Lemmy experience got a lot better.

I remember Altered Beast's graphics being a lot better than they are.

The whole "processed food is bad for you" thing is junk science. What matters is what's in the food, not how "processed" it is.

Loneliness is a motherfucker.

Going by that logic, I should be a billionaire now.

I'm studying bash, and I came across this Stackoverflow thread which contains this bit of code:

var="abcde"
echo ${var%d*}

The output is abc, but I can't figure out why. I understand that %d is used to indicate an integer number and * represents anything, but I can't figure out why those together would truncate var to only 3 characters.
