If you're leaving what's the issue exactly? There are countless people who are incompetent at being a proper boss or client. You can try to educate them. If they're power tripping it's best to find something new.

Regarding communication I think the most important skill is to actually say what you want to say. What your needs are. It sounds obvious and easy but once you consciously try it you'll see that it takes a lot of practice.

The issue is that being indirect or expecting people to just get it just doesn't work. There aren't many people out there who are that sensitive and insightful, and they'll just keep filling in the gaps with their own perspective again and again. Even when you are being direct they will, but at least it gives someone the opportunity to think about it and possibly adjust. Most people mean well.

For me it didn't get better, until it did. Patience is key.

The next generation has some poker scenes. There's one episode where they are stuck in a simulation of a casino and can't escape.

That I'm a gay n word. Like, I am neither so what's up with that? He quickly biked off and I couldn't get him to clarify.

Recognizing how my desires are never truly satisfied, and they cause me suffering. How they constantly shift and always want more. In other words I let go of my judgment and accept what I see. That doesn't mean I don't judge it at all or don't change it. It just means I'm not attached to the desire to change things. It's just a feeling, and I can act on it, but it's a conscious decision rather than a habit.

Feels a bit like that one time a meat eater accused me of drinking soy milk, because apparently that's causing deforestation. She seemed to forget that livestock eat a great amount of soy.

They always have their cherry picked excuses.

It's two weeks or so for me. Currently going through that again. Actually in Juli it was all gone, and it was such a great relief. Then it came back with a vengeance. So I started boymoding and not using makeup. Big mistake. It's better to just accept it and continue being yourself. What a nightmare!

I've been intensively studying A1 French in my current camp east of Antwerp, as I'll be entering Wallonia next week and then France soon after that. I wonder what French people sound like when they have a stuffed nose.

It's good for all of us to be privacy literate, given that things can take a turn for the worse in many places, or already are bad. There was a post a few days ago that highlighted how the vast majority of trans people rely on internet access 🤔

I'll start by saying that matrix seems to be a solid solution for communication, and tor for accessing information. It's worth it to get familiar with them before you need them yourself, but also to understand them as a community so we can support each other globally 🏳️‍⚧️

I am also wondering if any of you are familiar with getting around network restrictions. For example a DIY mesh network? 📡

Don't give up. Eat your breakfast. Be ready to open the door. Sometimes I just can't take it anymore. A shoe lace here, a shoe lace there, all tangled up and poor.

I ruminate in the deepest point of darkness. In the eye of the singularity and at the heart of warmth. Thuds of fire strike upon the distant shore.

I pull and I pull, but I cannot free my neck. And my face runs pale, and my experience runs thin. I gasp for air, and I let it in.

An oasis in my breath. The orange of orange juice. And I, and I can be found in the blue sky, by the grace one cannot lose.

When last night I lay in pain, I snapped this just for you, as the moon came.

Hey lovelies, open question: Are any of you into self defense and do you want to share something with the rest of us?

❤️⚔️❤️

I was at this fry shop today and the owner was teaching his new minions how to make what I had ordered. He said sir in the background. Well, I'm used to it, so whatever, I plopped my butt down and waited for that golden finger lickin' goodness.

Eventually the guy awkwardly comes to the front through a door. Acts out of place. Says something nice to this person and that person, dunno what he was up to at first so I just did my thing.

At some point he works up the courage and walks up to me and makes some small talk. Then he asked me my pronouns, so I'm like she/her. He apologized that he misgendered me before and called me adorable! 😭

Now, just yesterday someone called me a trannie before riding off on his bicycle, but that's a story for another time. Safe to say I'm a fair Claire ⭐

I mean, whenever I hear an alarm I ignore it, because I just hear it so often. But what if instead we used these types of alarms for real emergencies? For example a personal alarm to protect yourself.
