I don't know man, I'm still an amateur on this whole scene, admittedly. I do know that when my loved ones are put at risk I'm not just going to shrug and say, "guess this is just how it's gonna be, voters voted for it." It's unsurprisingly feeling just like the last time Trump was in power. I happen to be of a demographic that is at minimal risk personally, but my neighbors are being threatened and their property has been vandalized with hate speech. They're scared to leave the house. I've got family and friends being told they don't deserve to have the same rights as everyone else and targeted by open acts of hatred. A lot of Americans may have voted in support of this kind of thing, but that doesn't mean I'm going to just shut up, roll over, and accept it. If that's considered throwing a tantrum, then okay. I would expect anyone to throw such a tantrum in the same kind of circumstances, including my political opposites.

I see all these comments roasting the protestors, but I'm just glad people are angry. It would have been great if the election went differently, but it didn't, and we are where we are. Support people getting mad with how things turned out. Stop acting like all these people did nothing until now. I voted, and I'm protesting. I'll happily welcome non voters in the protests too. Turn your frustration and anger against the people you oppose instead of willing allies.

Looks awesome! How did the encounter go?

This is Agni the plasmoid cleric, my son's D&D character as drawn by me in MacDraw II. I'm trying to get some experience with action poses.

I just like that it looks like a cuttlefish.

I loved 8! I got so into the characters and their stories. I was always excited to see more Laguna & Co. I remember downloading the Eyes On You song, probably off one of those sketchy P2P music sharing services.

Vagrant Story takes place in Ivalice as well and is the only game I'd say I love as much as Tactics when it comes to sheer vibe/atmosphere. The opening gameplay sequence is amazing.

Yeah dude, Tactics was incredible. Art style, music, gameplay, story, just the vibe, man. My only beef is that it had the typical FF ending feeling of getting too sort of "out there". Went from a very human story to the typical third act of oh now there's some big weird big bad I have no emotional investment in to pose a more serious threat I guess.

Agrias remains one of my all time favorite characters.

Screw Algus.

I laughed, but I wasn't happy about it.

We should be best friends. 👊

This is one of the most fascinating comments I've ever encountered on Lemmy

The Rescuers wasn't exactly one of my favorites growing up, but it still made it into my rotation from time to time. It cracks me up how into the performance these two get at this part of the Rescue Aid Society song. Go get em, Latvia and France!

Seam (pronounced "Shawm") is my favorite Deltarune character. Everything about him, from his design to his dialogue to his lore, tells you that this old stuffed cat has been through some things. Despite clearly having come out the worse for wear from his experiences, he maintains a sense of positivity - almost a gleeful nihilism. I always got the impression that he actually cares a bit more than he lets on.

I just could not figure out what to do with his mouth to make it not look quite so flat. Overall, this one was a lot tougher than I thought it'd be.

The Sheriff of Nottingham was that character I loved to hate. He could be so sleazy and it was hilarious watching all the townsfolk react when he'd show up pretending to be likeable. His design and voice acting made him one of my favorite characters in the movie.

The character Vivi from Final Fantasy IX, tied with Steiner as my favorites in that game (so cool that they can combo attack together!). Hands are hard, but I'm proud of the "shading" on the knobbly staff! I also think the thicker 2pt lines look better than the 1pt lines I've been using in the past.

As per usual while I'm still in this learning stage, I used a reference image.

My attempt to use MacDraw II to draw (copycat) the popular image of Calvin's "Tracer Bullet" alter-ego from Calvin & Hobbes. I wanted some practice with the neat shadow technique.
