People own their own businesses in Japan. it's much more common than in the US. So they get to keep the profits rather than it going to some corporate entity. Much more efficient economically. It helps to have universal health care since it takes that expense out of the equation.

we really need to stop stealing things. it would be nice to leave my bike and helmet outside of a store and be able to come back to it. if the Japanese can do it, why can't we?

I know this is off topic. We claim to have freedom but it's illegal to go out on our own terms.

To me, it's a distraction. I think it's legal in just about every state for someone to marry a child under the age of 15 with the approval of their parents.

No sure if you mean government agencies but if you do, there's definitely oversight. Don't think that your Congress peoples aren't in on it too.
