Is it just me or is this song just really ... racist? Like they wanna say the N word SO BADLY but somehow refrain from it for obvious reasons.

At the end of the blind alley that is Europe… there is Hitler. At the end of capitalism, which is eager to outlive its day, there is Hitler.

This was an absolutely fantastic article. And, honestly, makes me feel (even more) deeply saddened that the only major threat ever posed against fascism (the USSR) was defeated.

In this way, Nazism carried forward the European colonial tradition against the greatest threat that had yet emerged against it: the Soviet Union.

I guess there is still always xigma-male I guess.

Already knows he wants to be a social worker at age 13. What a legend.

What I don't understand is why is EI literally the only media outlet debunking the events of Oct 7? Even Al Jazeera and DemocracyNow! don't seem to be giving much pushback to the mainstream claims.

I've been meaning to read this book for a while. From what I understand it suggests that the cities what is now known as North and South America, before Columbus came were in fact even more populated and advanced than their European counterparts at the time.

Americans are not permitted to stay in hotels owned by the Cuban government (most of them) you'll get in trouble when you return home. You need to stay in an AirBnB or some other privately owned accommodation, otherwise you'll be viewed as violating the yankee sanctions on the Cuban government.

As far as the actual trip is concerned, it's a bit expensive and very touristy but Tropicana is an absolutely fucking amazing show and well worth the money if you can swing it. And, of course all the usual things like the Museum of the Revolution etc but I'm sure you were going to end up there at some point anyway.

Where I live that would be a steal. Bachelor suites here are like $1,800 (CAD) on average.

Yeah they could plant a fucking orchard there. They even have lights pre-installed if the plants need a little boost in the off-months.

School's back in session and it took less than 2 weeks before covid came home again

God fucking damnit, here we go again. No masks whatsoever, no health restrictions, nothing. Just fucking lies and gaslighting from the government again and again. I'm so sick of this shit.

The assholes won, folks.

Nothing has changed. Two years in a row, the first week of school and the kid brings covid home with them AGAIN. What could go wrong putting a bunch of maskless kids into the same room together jokerfied

No investment has been made into HVAC or air filtration. We've been dealing with this shit for like four years now. Not to mention the crayon eating chuds are hooting and oinking again about "government tyranny" which they've made up in their heads because nobody is doing shit about fuck right now.

Our minister of health and provincial health officer even made a big press release / media conference about the new variants. Oh so you're going to mandate masks again? No? Impose restrictions on gatherings or schools? No? Do ... anything? Oh, no you're not. Cool thanks for that.

So far I'm not as bad as last year, insofar that I am not in the hospital (yet).

Wish me luck, and I extend the same to any of you dealing with this all over again.

Fort Detrick truthers rise up!

You can't make this shit up. They just don't even care any more.

A few days ago comrade /u/InevitableSwing posted an astounding graph of automobile deaths per capita in different countries.

Obviously America was number one by far amerikkka-clap but what was amazing to me was that Canada's rate is nearly three times lower.

The countries are not that different in many ways kkkanada.

Certainly things like aggressive driving and speed limits of course play a role, but I think the key is probably something a lot more simple: public fucking transit usage.

Example A:

USA

  • Own car/drive: 85%
  • Public transit: 12%
  • Bike: 11%

Example B:

Canada

  • Own car/drive: 67%
  • Public transit: 23%
  • Bike: 11%

So overall 18% fewer Canadians drive, and nearly twice as many take pubic transit.

A lot of our population is centred around the major cities that have decent public transit, and even some of the medium sized cities have decent bus systems too.

I found this podcast from this reddit-logo post:

I subbed today for a 7th and 8th grade teacher. I’m not exaggerating when I say at least 50% of the students were at a 2nd grade reading level. The students were to spend the class time filling out an “all about me” worksheet, what’s your name, favorite color, favorite food etc. I was asked 20 times today “what is this word?”. Movie. Excited. Trait. “How do I spell race car driver?”

I've only listened to one episode so far, but it's really well produced, seems well-researched and very well put together.

From what I gather so far, the ways that the American public school system "teaches" kids how to read is not only completely wrong, but actually saddles them bad habits which fundamentally hinder their reading comprehension.

A huge swath of American adults are functionally illiterate, and I think I'm starting to understand why.

good job you cute little shit, keep going!

(this is my first homebrew DWC hydroponic setup, so far so good)

This seems too good to be true.
