The lawn is even worse in that photo, but at least it's next to a park and river with some kind of bikeway.
Where I live that would be a steal. Bachelor suites here are like $1,800 (CAD) on average.
I pay $1050 for a 1br and 2brs go for $1600+, but I live next to the Rockies and not a swamp filled with corn. The only upside to living in Indianapolis would be that you're only three hours from Chicago.
