Thanks I went searching for this last night when the title was posted to see if it was real but couldn’t find it.

good post imo, but I feel a little bad completely agreeing with "don't train juniors." i understand the argument but on the counter I feel like the juniors need someone to teach them, don't they?

we had a christmas party at my company at a japanese steakhouse and i wanted to see everyone so when I saw "tofu steak" on the menu i thought it was perfect...

when we got there, they were out of tofu, so dinner was just vegetables. not only that, i'm pretty sure they put a bunch of butter on it... i didn't want to make a scene.

i'll probably skip next time

I think most of the Canadian subreddits are overrun by cryptofascists and have been for years. I remember a post from someone even attempting to prove the mods of r/Canada were neo-nazis. (I don’t remember how solid the claims were)

The “left” moved over to r/onguardforthee but after a while I think that became pretty lib too. I haven’t been on Reddit in a while so maybe my memory is hazy.

you can also start your own server if you want to play single player, but you should probably install either the auto balance mod or the janky playerbots https://github.com/azerothcore/azerothcore-wotlk

I thought it was a fun coding project and I hate playing with random people (wow community is scary and stressful imo) so my partner, parents and I play on the server and are having a very relaxing time.

it's incredible to me that trying to undo the damage done by these ghouls is a felony (as Cory says) in here. I don't want to be that person, but how is this sustainable? it seems like such a massive footgun for the entire functioning "western" world that I'm actually feeling some communist optimism.

FreeTube still works for me, Also it lets me do subs again since I refuse to log in to any Google site.

Same in Canada as far as I know (or maybe it’s just BC?)

I appreciated that bit, but I think I read it differently. I thought they were trying to say that there was tons of outrage for nuclear power, but barely any for the nuclear bomb. I actually think that the game is about things like nuclear power - things that are dangerous (eg. meltdowns and bombs) but have the potential to improve lives. (I don't have a position on nuclear power specifically, just stating what I think the game is trying to say)

this is embarrassing but I set up a private wow server for my partner and I to play and then invited my parents too. it's been years since the four of us played, so it's appropriate that the server I built was wotlk.

I wonder how much of this is related to your choices - I've definitely told all the other people in the game that I think growth should be checked, and at least I was able to convince the squad, but yeah that "nature has no inherent value unless witnessed by a conscious entity" thing was a bit silly IMO. I can't really put my finger on why, maybe it's just not expressing itself well. Took a break from it before the last 1/4 and will get back to it eventually...

edit: I actually really enjoyed talking with the characters about moral things in the game, but it seems that's dropped off a bit.

Yes, this was frustrating. My partner just played the original a couple of months ago (I played it when it came out and loved it) and we both were a little frustrated and the story fell a little flat by today's standards.
