It’s not a movie but it makes me think of this quote from Murakami’s What I Talk About When I Talk About Running:

Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional. Say you’re running and you think, ‘Man, this hurts, I can’t take it anymore.’ The ‘hurt’ part is an unavoidable reality, but whether or not you can stand anymore is up to the runner himself.

I feel this may be the sentiment behind, “Pain don’t hurt.”

I’m also in the Midwest and have opted for the treadmill. Not ideal but neither are the conditions!

Also using Memmy, and it is great for such an early product. Works quite well on both iPad and iOS where I’ve been testing it out.
