Try some of the kbin/mbin instances. I find the interface much more similar to old reddit. But welcome to the fediverse! kbin.social and kbin.run (mbin) are pretty good.
The digital menu boards are there so they don't have to hire as many cashiers.

It's somehow been able to do that in a really cohesive end product. It's definitely a mish-mash, and the cutesy pals definitely do look like pokemon characters, but it somehow just works.
do you have any remote play apps connected to it? Also try turning off HDMI-CEC, another device could be triggering it to turn on.

Yeah the app hasn't worked for the last 4-5 days. I also notice artemis.camp is down today. I suspect Harriet is burned out.
