This screams “look we’re doing something about the cost of living crisis!” energy without tackling the major influences in the cost of living like housing and grocery prices.
This would be amazing if they could pull it off. Would take a burden off parents as well - don’t have to keep track of lunch items, make lunch, drag lunchboxes out of bags, wash them etc.
Great leveller as well if the kids doing it tough get the same food as everyone else.

I mean games, tv, movies all have some sort of rating system so you don’t really have to spend a lot of time reviewing the content for your kids. Seems like a gap that this doesn’t exist for books.
