If a tiny team of people making a mod can do so much good then Microsoft is just being insanely stupid.
Everything in Minecraft can be optimized significantly, even with all the extra states they have added to all the blocks and the rest to the point where it should run SIGNIFICANTLY better. There's not even LOD.
There's often many things you can do to make them want to learn stuff like this and make it useful and interesting. Could be as simple as some joke posters that say they could talk in private just by speaking a different language to each other.
A lot of culture is locked behind even learning the basics of whatever language that culture speaks. It'd be awesome for monolingual Americans to learn the other language that exists in their area just for understanding alone.
Language learning is easy, especially for children and they also have plenty time in school to do so. A lot of problems come directly from unwillingness/lack of understanding of cultures that are pretty similar in the first place.
"Why bother?" can be said about a lot of the school system in the US, knowing a little about a language can go a long way and doesn't impact the rest of the learning.
Lack of care mostly, especially on the Java edition it has gone downhill in performance rapidly ever since Microsoft has owned the place.
I love how they make Bedrock edition for "performance" and then completely mess up on doing anything with it.
Minecraft is despite that a horribly unoptimized game that could run fine on A LOT more hardware but has given up on even trying to do so.
There's so so many things they could easily do especially with how big of a game it is, but they just do not.

Sometimes you do, you don't stop being a parent after your child turns 18. You can still try and help them especially if you think something this simple has been done wrong. Shaming your child online because of how they load the dishwasher is just stupid.
Then you're probably teaching wrong.
Unnecessary rudeness towards someone struggling with admittedly bad picture quality.
Not saying you did anything bad in particular, could've been a joke.
It's harder to do in some countries, in the Netherlands there's basically nothing to adopt and there's plenty free puppies to get that were just randomly born.
