Has this guy even used social VR before? I don't want to entirely dismiss his points out of hand, but what he's describing is so unlike my experience with VRChat that I don't really know how to even respond meaningfully. Come back after having a heart-to-heart with a 12 foot tall gay dragon furry dude, then we'll talk, otherwise this is just tilting at windmills

Likewise online video made it possible for him to attend college despite an ongoing pandemic, and instead of being thankful for that opportunity, he blames Zoom for making him lonely? Not the pandemic? It makes no sense

I'm really sorry for the difficulties you're facing now. I totally understand the frustration of feeling you're fighting the platform when all you want to do is provide a good experience for your users

At the same time though, I don't think we could ask for a better team to be helping push the Threadiverse forward. Thank you for all the effort you're putting in

I also think I owe an apology for offering help in the past and then flaking, to put it mildly

Wishing you all the best, wherever this takes you

Yeah, in this thread there are a lot of good games that are significantly improved by mods. Skyrim VR goes from being basically worthless to one of the best VR games available with mods. HIGGS and VRIK saved that game imho. Bless the modders

I actually got a Radcity 5 Plus recently - I love it! I actually don't even need to use it on a daily basis because most everything is more convenient by walking or bus, but it's great for once or twice a week type trips

I had a lot of friends tell me they didn’t realize it was possible to live car free until they watched me make it work.

This is part of my motivation! And thanks - I am lucky to have good bus service in my area

Cheers! Yeah, I'm really looking forward to the light rail expansions

Ah, I'm jealous. Here in the US I'm the only person I know car-free by choice. My area is making some big strides towards reducing car dependence, but we've got a long ways to go to catch up with Berlin and other good urbanist cities in Europe

I'm coming up on about 6 months of car-free life in Seattle. It's certainly been challenging at times, and it's only possible at all because I work from home, but I'm making it work. I'm curious if anyone else is trying to do the same thing. There are a ton of anti-car communities online, but very few people seem to actually go car-free as, like, an ideological thing
