I only have about 1tb of important data (photos, important videos or documents etc). The other stuff is just movies, series or music you probably will find everywhere after 20 anyway so im storing the important stuff on a hetzner storage box (encrypted of course with cryptomator) and the rest of it on onedrive. Onedrive because i can easily stream the .mp4 files without needing to download them

hm i would be interested in that too. You never know how the prices will increase for such services.

Die technische Herausforderung ist auf jeden Fall da aber auf jeden Fall nicht unlösbar. Soweit ich weiß gibt es data-hoarder die ganz reddit schon archiviert und als Dateien freigegeben haben. Die Hosting Kosten würden sich auch in Grenzen halten, falls man nur Text hostet und könnte sich durch Sponsoren lösen lassen. Aber Urheberrecht und dass man das von DE dann sowieso nicht erreichen kann ist glaube ich the real problem 😕
