I was gifted an Epson HX-20 early in the 80's. Considered the first laptop computer released. It had battery life of 30-40 hours! Basic, Contacts, Spreadsheet, Terminal, and Word Processor built into it. Offering a generous 16kb or optional 32kb of RAM in addition to a built in micro cassette storage; it was ahead of anything ever offered.

The famous Tandy 100 (and WP-2) series laptops were based off this design.

As I was young I didn't understand the full capacity of the device. However when Tandy released the WP-2 portable word processing device (battery life of 40 hours; 4 AA's). I snatched it up in an instant.

Here's more on all three devices:

Very true; it is very hard to come find any content minus a few major movies. *.bg used to have a good selection. Missing my Scandinavian and German shows. They have a dark sense of humor and produce good content.

Found invite; was misinformed about site. It is torrent only and I don't have the shows or applications to share. If anyone knows of a Scandinavia indexer please let me know. Thanks!

Is anyone on this indexer? It seems obscure compared to most invite requests. Is it worth the cost, it seems to be pricey compared to others. Invites always welcome but not requesting.

Very grateful. Community here is wonderful.

If you can make this wish happen I would be most grateful. Thank you for your consideration (I know they are limited).

Tell us about them! On mobile here, owned several. Many memories to tell.

There have been several changes, yes. Thank you for providing a more up to date source of information. Keep adding to the community. So much needs to be done here. Thanks for helping!

I'll post a list of active communties for you, not at my primary machine. Felt poetic. All are welcome. Some groups are dormant for what the internet considers ages however some replys are worth the wait. :)

It's a place that is haunted. Hurt by the past. Small communities of friends who are ghosts. They hide obscurified in the noise to talk. Mumblings of a distance past of which they refuse to let go of because there, self hosted, they are beholden to none of this world.

This map will help you determine which provider you choose for your service. The top tier resells their groups to the providers below on the tree. For best results subscribe to one of the providers in one color; and buy block access from another provider. This will help ensure that the posts that you need to download are complete. It also shows the retention time of each provider; however I have found this to be inaccurate; many of the providers host messages for a much longer timel

Important Note: There is an update to the provider map; this is 2022 if someone knows the changes and can edit the .svg file or provide the information it would be greatly appreciated.

Absolutely! The M2 is already highly capable. An M3 w/ DDR5 and PCIe 5, in addition to their Retina display? Hell yeah! I just use my X1 Carbon as a thin client machine; it really doesn't do any heavy lifting. No lag on Windows or Linux; but I prefer not to have to block all microsoft instances at the router.

Classic. I loved the PowerPC days. Still run a G4 tower every now and then; works like a champ!

Been around since the days of manual command prompt UUDECODE; want to get back into the groups. Thanks!

Say goodbye acoustic coupler. There will be no more handset phone for you. The powers at be will let you be free. From this almighty twisted pair I shall get the best connection there is. Mother has lost; we can directly connect.
