There are a lot of lost media topics that have come forward from a memory or recollection, but are not specific enough for us to definitively search for. Today, let's discuss some of these topics and see if we can figure out what they are!

Journey 1.5 billion kilometres to Saturn's most bewildering moon: Iapetus. This world of stark contrasts features a divided landscape where light battles darkness, while a colossal mountain range encircles its equator, towering higher than Mount Everest. This celestial trickster defies explanation, vanishing before astronomers' eyes, only to reappear like cosmic sleight of hand. As we explore this enigmatic moon, what shocking truths about our solar system's violent birth might finally be revealed?

"Thursday marks 68 days and counting since ANY humanitarian aid was allowed into Gaza. For more than nine weeks, Israel has blocked all supplies: no food, no water, no medicine, and no fuel.

Hundreds of truckloads of lifesaving supplies are waiting to enter Gaza, sitting just across the border, but are denied entry by Israeli authorities.

... Defense Minister Israel Katz said, “Israel’s policy is clear: No humanitarian aid will enter Gaza, and blocking this aid is one of the main pressure levers.” "

"Israeli occupation forces enforced a ban on the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees on Thursday by storming three schools in East Jerusalem, terrorizing children and staff as they shuttered the facilities and drawing condemnation from human rights defenders.

According to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, heavily armed Israeli security forces raided the schools in the Shu'fat refugee camp in illegally occupied East Jerusalem, detaining one UNRWA employee and forcing around 550 children out of their classrooms as the invaders closed the facilities."

It's certainly in the right direction, the biggest thing being is it not being a wholly customized proprietary chip

Found this article for 2023 https://www.extremetech.com/gaming/nvidia-tegra-t239-gpu-possible-nintendo-switch-2-graphics-hardware-analyzed

While Nvidia has not confirmed anything about the Switch 2, the T239 chip was first outed in 2021. However, the T239 has been name-checked in several subsequent leaks, including documents from the 2022 Nvidia hack. Based on these leaks, the T239 resembles an adaptation of the T234 chip from one of Nvidia's Jetson automotive modules. With that point of reference, it's possible to get a ballpark idea of the Switch 2's performance. DigitalFoundry used this estimate to create a Switch 2 analog with a modded RTX 2050.

Repurposed is good, reporposed means an increase in likelihood that they "left something helpful" in lol

I can do most things reliably except for the ankles, but I've long since lost my ability to easily do my back and neck

And it'll happen to you to meme

Ohhh lol, yea, it could be coming from the intro side though since it's unlikely one would have a perfect balance between them

Ambivert is a hybrid between the 2, I'm perfectly fine being at say a party all night doing small talk and what not without needing to worry about a social battery, but I can also be completely comfortable being at home alone for days/weeks/months at a time without going going crazy like extroverts can get

His wiki had some issues, but if not even 24 hours later he's already shitting on Trump and co....well.....imperfect allies and all that

I once rolled my ankle but in the most perfect way in which instead of pain, it was the most pleasurable "bone popping" I've ever had in my life. All those tiny ankle bone just popped like satisfying bubble wrap that you just grabbed and popped a bunch, it was so satisfying I was dazed for like a solid minute or 2.

I have spent 15 years trying to do it again to no success :(

The developers are openly communist

They are openly authoritarian "communists", you don't need to simp for China, Russia or NK to be a communist. But they do and they leverage the .ml Instance to do so. This is the point of contention for most (including myself) donating to them, and it was brought up in those threads numerous times. If they put in place a new admin team that was as unbiased and fair as possible, they would massively increase in donations. They won't though because they know exactly what they're doing with .ml to further their personal political ideology.

To paraphrase one user on one of those threads "Devs should do dev work and not mod work, admins/mods should do admin/mod work and not dev work".

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tankie

Tankie is a pejorative label generally applied to authoritarian communists, especially those who support or defend acts of repression by such regimes, their allies, or deny the occurrence of the events thereof.

"They go low we go high....right into fascism"

[–] [email protected] 13 points 13 hours ago

They need to eat bugs constantly, which makes them better than spiders

The whole "Don't squish spiders in your house, they eats bugsssss" was just pro-spider propaganda the entire time!

Prevost has faced criticism from advocates for clergy abuse survivors regarding his handling of sexual abuse allegations during his leadership in the Augustinian order and in Peru. The advocacy group SNAP (Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests) has alleged that Prevost failed to act against abuse claims involving Richard McGrath, a former president of Providence Catholic High School, allowing him to remain in his position despite longstanding accusations.[26]

He's going to be an amazing pope, off to such a great start! /S

But this is not the first system package replaced by a rust rewrite (on some distros) - something that has been working well for so long and is so fundamental for so many other softwares - is that wise?

Was there ever a problem wrt memory safety with sudo?

There's been plenty of cases of a piece of software/library/whatever "working well" for years until one day OOPS there's actually a gaping vulnerability in it. Hopefully, it's a researcher that finds it first so it can be patched, but that doesn't always happen. That's how there's a whole market for "0 days"

"Working well" != "Secure"
