you mean linux mint? it's pretty good and user-friendly, also has a nice community from my experience. would definitely recommend.

i think it's just that boost adds 1 reputation, downvote removes 1 reputation and upvote does nothing to the reputation and people tend to click the arrows more instead of the "boost" text
honestly i don't even care about reddit anymore, now that i know kbin/lemmy i am never going back
it's better to have a small place with nice people rather than a big place full of bad people
